Bio of Oliver Hoyte

As a senior student-athlete at Chamberlain High School, Oliver Hoyte Tallied 153 tackles, including 98 solo shots and five sacks as a senior. Hoyte received honors as The St. Petersburg Times' co-Player of the Year alongside then teammate Brodrick Bunkley of the New Orleans Saints. He was also given the Coca-Cola Golden Helmet Award , led his Chamberlain High School team to 5-A state championship game , earned accolades as a first-team all-state as a junior and senior and was an all-conference choice for three years. Also named to the All-Suncoast team, played in the Florida/Georgia All-Star game and the Hillsboro All-Star game as a senior. He received a scholarship to play football at North Carolina State University.

As a member of the Wolfpack, he helped lead the team to 3 bowl game wins and was named the team Top Condition Athlete in 2005 and won the teams Big Hitter Award for 3 consecutive years. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2006. After earning a roster spot as a linebacker and a solid special teams player, Hoyte took advantage of a mid-season position switch to fullback and performed with a high level of productivity. After a rookie year of learning under fire, Hoyte started at fullback the following season and saw plenty of action with the Dallas regular offense during 2006 and 2007 campaign. He eventually grew into a key role player on an offensive unit that enjoyed one of the most productive seasons in club history. In 2007, Hoyte was second in Pro Bowl voting at the fullback position. After sustaining a neck injury he was released by Dallas and was picked up off waivers by the Kansas City Chiefs. After a strong preseason at middle linebacker Hoyte once again injured his neck and was released and soon retired after numerous attempts of a return was cut short due failed physicals.

Oliver has gained a wealth of knowledge through his years in the NFL and as a Division I Collegiate athlete. He has a sincere vision and passion in helping younger athletes achieve their goals and dreams. His experiences on the field and off, serve to be priceless for any youth or professional athlete looking to make a name for themselves in the amateur ranks or the NFL. Hoyte is also the Co-Founder of Full-Ride High School Football Academy and Fundamentally Sound Youth Football Academy a 501(c)(3) that is dedicated to empowering underserved youth in the Tampa Bay Area through educational development, character building activities and football skills development.
